Welcome to our pretty 17th-century cottage, accommodating up to four people in three bedrooms. We also have the benefit of parking for one car on our private drive, making it ideal for both weekly stays and longer holiday stays.
Hill Top Cottage is perfectly situated in a peaceful location, just a few minutes’ stroll from the cobbled centre of Grassington village (famous for its role as Darrowby in the popular TV series All Creatures Great and Small). Whether you’re seeking a relaxing retreat, family accommodation, or a base for your weekly breaks, this holiday home is the perfect choice.
Grassington boasts a variety of high-quality shops, tearooms, restaurants, and pubs. The opportunities for dining out are endless! As well as being an idyllic village, it is surrounded by many miles of paths and trails. Combined with the stunning scenery of the Yorkshire Dales, it makes Hill Top Cottage an ideal location for cottage stays, that caters to relaxation and walking enthusiasts.
Hill Top Cottage has been renovated throughout, yet still retains its charm and character with many original features. This family-friendly holiday cottage offers the perfect blend of modern comfort and historical charm.
The lounge features exposed beams and a large stone fireplace with a Broseley electric stove, creating a cosy space for holiday evenings. The master bedroom also has exposed beams, with pine flooring and a medieval-style double bed, adding to the cottage’s character. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and includes a dining table for four people, making it perfect for preparing meals during your self catering accommodation stay.
Our cottage is warm and welcoming in the winter, making it perfect for holidays in colder months. Guests can also enjoy panoramic views and alfresco dining on the sunny, south-facing patio in the summer. It truly offers a superb retreat for 7 night breaks, or longer holiday stays.
We have lived in Derbyshire for many years but have always loved visiting the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, especially Grassington, with its charm and sense of history. We first discovered Grassington on family holiday breaks when our children were young, and it became a favourite destination.
In 2016, we were overjoyed to become the proud new owners of Hill Top Cottage (all from being in the right place at the right time). Now, we love bringing our grandchildren here to make even more precious memories.
We hope you love it here as much as we do!
